6. Oklahoma

Ranking Last Week: 7

Week 10 Result: Win @ Texas Tech 51-46

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Oklahoma State

There is no question that the Oklahoma offense led by Kyler Murray is elite. The question comes when you ask whether or not their defense is good enough to compete against the likes of an Alabama or Clemson. The answer right now is no and I don’t see that answer changing in the near future.

The Sooners got a big 51-46 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders but that win came with giving up 366 passing yards through the air. As previously mentioned the offense came up big as Kyler Murray threw for 360 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Trey Sermon had a monster night on the ground running for 206 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Oklahoma offense will be looking to put up similar numbers against Oklahoma State in a big week 11 rivalry matchup.

5. Georgia

Ranking Last Week: 6

Week 10 Result: Win @ Kentucky 34-17

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Auburn

Much like West Virginia and unlike Ohio State, Georgia rebounded well after a crushing loss to LSU. Last week the Bulldogs were able to come out of Lexington, Kentucky with a 34-17 win and the week before they beat the Florida Gators 36-17 at home.

Both teams were ranked 9th in the nation at the time Georgia won those contests. As it has for most of the year, the Bulldogs were dominant in the run game as they were able to rush for 331 rushing yards in the win over the Wildcats. They were led by D’Andre Swift who ran for 156 yards and 2 yards.

Georgia will now get a shot at an Auburn team coming off a big win last week over Texas A&M.
