Q: So Northwestern is likely going to win the [Big Ten] West…how unbalanced are the [Big Ten] divisions?

A: The Big Ten East and West are polar opposites, similar to the SEC East and West, just in reverse. Four of the six perennial powers in the conference are in the East which becomes division cannibalism as the season progresses whereas the teams in the West have a much easier road with minimal matchups against top opponents due to the crossover games.

Q: Do you agree or disagree with Devin White’s upcoming first half suspension?

A: Devin White’s first half suspension is going to be huge this weekend as it will amplify Alabama’s already big advantage. I did not agree with the call at all and believe the targeting rule needs to become more consistent as well as modified.

White is likely the second best player between the Tigers and the Tide and his first half absence could very well be a deciding factor in the game this weekend which is historically a chess match controlled by the two defenses.
