7. Florida

LSU goes and shocks the world with a beat down against Georgia at home and the Tigers get a lot of praise.

Don’t get me wrong, LSU deserves that praise, but aren’t we forgetting about another SEC team? Wasn’t it Florida that upset LSU the week before. In fact, isn’t the reason why LSU’s beat down of Georgia was so surprising was because LSU had just lost to Florida?

I know this is what you the readers are thinking. Why is LSU ahead of Florida in the rankings?

Its simple, Florida won a close game against LSU at home. I believe if you put both of these squads on a neutral field LSU would win that game.

Even with that, I still think that Florida is getting overlooked. It blasphemous to me that Georgia is three spots ahead of Florida in this weeks AP Top 25 poll.      

That’s because while Georgia got it handed to them by LSU, Florida not only defeated LSU but took care of 23rd ranked Mississippi State the week before that.

It is only right the next time Florida will be taking the field it will be against Georgia after a bye week.

We will soon see whether this Gator team is truly for real.
