2. Ezekiel Elliot

Week 4: 25 Carries | 152 Yards | 6.1 Y/C | 237 Total Yards | 1 TD

Season: 73 Rushes | 426 Yards | 2 TDs | 5.7 Y/C | 15 Receptions | 125 Yards| 1 TD

Zeke was having a pretty good year after week 3 of the NFL season. He was tied for the most rushing yards in the NFL and carrying an otherwise bad Dallas offense.

Then he decided to rack up 237 total yards including a receiving touchdown and that pretty good year turned into an amazing year.

Zeke now leads the NFL in rushing yards by 88 yards over Todd Gurley. He ranks sixth in yards per carry and third in rushing attempts.

We all know how explosive Zeke is but what some might not realize is just how good he is at the other things a running back has to do. Blocking downfield as well as protecting the quarterback and catching passes out of the backfield.

It is a big reason why the Cowboys selected him with the fourth pick in the 2015 NFL draft and why he comes in at number two on this list.

1. Michael Thomas

Week 4: 4 Receptions | 47 Yards | 11.8 Y/R

Season: 42 Receptions | 445 Yards | 3 TDs | 10.6 Y/R

It was a tough choice for me as to who should top this list in week 4. Zeke had a great overall week but Michael Thomas’s incredible start to the year was just too much to overcome.

Because of Thomas’ rather lackluster week 4, he has dropped to fourth in receiving yards. He still leads the league in receptions with 42.

The crazy thing about that number though is that Thomas has been targeted 44 times. There have only been two times Drew Brees has thrown the ball to Thomas and he didn’t catch it.

That is an astounding number and it’s enough to keep Thomas at the top of the pack of former Ohio State football players in the NFL week 4.
