2. Denzel Ward

Week 3: 4 Tackles | 1 FF | 1 RF

Season: 11 Tackles | 6 Assists | 2 INTs | 1 FF | 1 RF | 3 Pass Breakups

More from Ohio State Football

Denzel Ward moves up on this list primarily for one play in the Thursday Night game against the New York Jets. It was still 14-3 in favor of the Jets with about 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter when Robby Williams of the Jets caught a slant pass and took it to the Jets 25 yard line before being stripped by none other than Denzel Ward.

Ward would also pick up the ball and return it to about the 8 yard line. This was a huge momentum shift for the Browns that helped them come back. Only a field goal would come of the turnover but it helped propel them to the win. It was an amazing play by Ward Ohio State fans have come to expect and look forward to see more of this season.

1. Michael Thomas

Week 3: 10 Receptions | 129 Yards | 12.9 Y/R

Season: 38 Receptions | 398 Yards | 3 TDs | 10.5 Y/R

There is almost too much praise to give Michael Thomas at this point. He has the most receptions of any receiver through 3 games in the NFL ever.

He leads the NFL in receiving yards, being two shy of the 400 mark, and the most astounding statistic, Thomas has been targeted 40 times this season and has caught the ball 38 times.

Talk about being a reliable option on offense. This guy just continues to put up crazy numbers, and until he stops doing so he will be number one on this list.
