A: For the time being, yes, the SEC West had a much better all around weekend than the Big Ten East. LSU, Auburn, and Alabama all locked up important victories in their marquee matchups.
Despite the fact all East Division teams won except Michigan, Penn State had to pull out an overtime win over Appalachian State and Michigan State survived a Friday night scare courtesy of Utah State.
The Big Ten East, without question, possesses the talent and depth to be the best division in college football. However, I expect the two divisions to iron out their wrinkles as the season wears on and the Big Ten East will eventually win out if its teams are as good as advertised.
