Ohio State Buckeyes NFL Draft Review
By Josh Keatley
Vonn Bell, S- 61st Pick in the 2nd Round to New Orleans: This was a phenomenal value, because Bell has first round strong safety traits, but again this did not look like a major need for the Saints. With Kenny Vaccaro and Jairus Byrd roaming the defensive backfield, the thought would be that a selection this early would be for a more glaring need.
Clearly New Orleans has plans to clear some cap down the road, because Bell has the traits to contribute at different positions in the defensive backfield.. He is great in man coverage and can be a huge asset when utilized within the box thanks to his athleticism and size.
