Jahsen Wint- Erasmus Hall (Brooklyn, NY)

Size: 5’11”- 186 lbs.

Position: ATH (#61 ATH, 3 stars)

The Buckeyes went back to Brooklyn to pluck one of New York’s finest, and Wint hails from the high school that produced Curtis Samuel.

He was committed to Temple up until Christmas Day, and committed to the Buckeyes a day after their Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame.

Wint played a lot of different positions in high school, including linebacker. He will play in the secondary at Ohio State, but exactly where is a bit of an unknown. He has the prototypical size for a cornerback, but his game suggest that he would be a perfect fit at safety.

He is known for being a hard-nosed player who loves to hit. His aggressiveness and ability to move would make him him the ideal player in the back end of the secondary.

Regardless of what position group he ultimately lands in, Wint is going to take some seasoning before he is ready to be a factor in the defense. He could make an impact on special teams, though. His willingness to throw his body around could find him a place in a special teams unit while he settles into a true position.
