Four-star safety Lejond Cavazos has gone from a de-commit from Ohio State to their biggest recruiter, showing off his immense talent along the way.

Lejond Cavazos is a vital piece of a special 2020 class at Ohio State. After de-committing last December, Cavazos changed his mind earlier this year and has since become a staunch recruiter attempting to persuade other players to come to Columbus.

Coming from legendary IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Cavazos is more than just an uber-talented player. He has also used social media and visits from other recruits to draw recruits to Ohio State.

Standing at 6’1″ and 190 pounds, Lejond is the prototypical defensive back. A 4.20 time in the 40-yard dash shows that his speed is among the best in football, not just at the high school level.

With a 44.40-inch veritcal and a 4.16 shuttle time, both recorded at The Opening Regional in Miami in February, Lejond showed his agility and ability to get up, which is vital for a safety to deflect and intercept passes.

Off the field, Cavazos is more than proud to be a Buckeye, taking to Twitter to advertise just how special Ohio State is. He has also shared his prediction on how good the 2020 class will be.

Lejond often takes to posts by fellow commits or other high school students on a visit to Columbus to strengthen their interest in Ohio State and say just how special the Buckeyes are going to be.

Lejond is special on and off the field. His real personality and excitement to bring others to Columbus make him the perfect recruiter and somebody who could be the leader of the New Silver Bullets in the near future.

On the field, Lejond has already shown just how talented he is. With another year of high school on the way, he will have the chance to grow even more as a player and leader before joining the Buckeyes next year.

If Cavazos continues to do what he’s been doing to draw fellow recruits to Ohio State, the 2020 class could be one of the best in recent history. As is, Lejond has the chance to really live up to his name and become a Buckeye Legend.
