The Ohio State offense should be potent once again. While there are plenty of talented players on that side of the ball, here are five to keep your eyes on.

Last year the Ohio State offense was the best statistically it had been since the championship run in 2014. The Buckeyes had stars in Dwayne Haskins who is now a Washington Redskin, Paris Campbell, JK Dobbins, Terry McLaurin plus many more.

This year the offense should once again put up big numbers and there are players to keep your eyes on who will make a big impact. I will point out some and if I have left a player off the list that does not mean he will struggle, and he may become a key contributor this season.

Here are the five players on the offensive side of the ball to keep your eyes on during the 2019 season.

1) Justin Fields:

As most of you know, Fields was a five-star quarterback out of Harrison high school. He threw for 4,187 yards, 41 touchdowns with only eight interceptions.

He would commit to the University of Georgia but only saw limited playing time as a freshman sitting behind sophomore quarterback Jake Fromm.

Knowing Fromm would likely be the starter for Georgia in 2019, Fields transferred to Ohio State in the hope of a new start.  His option game promises to change the nature of the offense as last year’s attack was focused more on throwing the ball with Haskins being a pure pocket passer.

Will Fields be as good as Haskins? Personally, I don’t think so but he can fool the defense with his feet and he has a big arm. Look for defenses to get tricked by his abilities and won’t be sure of what is coming their way. They will have to guess on every play.

Now for the guy who could become the second Ohio State running back to rush for 1,000 yards three straight seasons.
