Fans are certainly anxious to see the Ohio State football team take the field with a new head coach and an exciting young quarterback.

At ten o’clock in the morning today, Ticketmaster released the tickets for the 2019 Ohio State football Spring Game. Being sold were both Club and General Admission, GA for $5 and Club seats for $15. In a vain attempt to grab some tickets this morning, I discovered first-hand just how excited Buckeye Nation is for the 2019 football season.

General admission tickets will remain available on Ticketmaster until they are deemed to be sold out. But as for the Club seats, tickets are available on StubHub and other third-party sites for at least three times the original selling price.

With practices now only two weeks away, anticipation for the Spring Game will continue to grow. With the Ohio State football team coming off a 13-win season and Top-3 Final AP Poll ranking, expectations for 2019 are already high to begin with.

Added to the highly anticipated arrival of five-star transfer Justin Fields and an influx of new defensive coaches, 2019 will be important for the Buckeyes program and for new (sort of) head coach Ryan Day.

However, even with these high expectations, the Ohio State football team will have to counter the losses that they have faced this offseason. Normally, when a team loses their National Championship-winning coach and All-American quarterback, most fans expect a slight step backwards. But Buckeye Nation is not synonymous with “most fans”.

To continue their vast success, the Buckeyes will have to counter the losses of Urban Meyer and Dwayne Haskins, and to do that they need a talented new quarterback and experienced coach and staff.

The Buckeyes got exactly this in the transfer of Fields and the additions of Al Washington, Jeff Hafley and Don Mattison. Along with Day, who gained valuable experience in the three games he replaced Meyer as well as being a “coach-in-waiting” the remainder of the season.

The Buckeyes will be taking the practice field on March 4th with a team hungry to return to the College Football Playoff. After just over a month of practice, Buckeye Nation will get their first chance to see the 2019 Ohio State Buckeyes in action.

In front of tens of thousands of fans dressed in Scarlet and Gray, the Buckeyes will show off their potential and build our anticipation for the 2019 season, which could result in the Buckeyes first trip to the College Football Playoff since 2016.
