Ohio State  upsets Wisconsin.

Watching this game, many people would not think this was the same Ohio State team that lost to Wisconsin earlier in the season by a gnarly 23 points. The Buckeyes were on a 3 game losing streak but ended it with a HUGE win over No. 16 Badgers.

           First Half

  • The Buckeyes came out extremely strong, looking determined and ready to put up a good fight against the Badgers.
  • Early in the game, Ohio State pulled to a 13-9 lead.
  • The Buckeyes then increased their lead to 10 points 22-12, with the run getting the fans involved in the game.
  • Once again, Marc Loving disappointed fans as the senior only scored five points in the first half. Loving needs to appear to be more alert and awake, and become the leader if this team. Rather than him leading the underclassmen, they look to be leading Loving.
  • The Buckeyes then jumped out to their biggest lead of the half, 34-22
  • Jae’Sean Tate continues to amaze fans. He was on top of his game versus Wisconsin. He is playing with ease, finesse and with a great skill set. In the first half  he almost matched his ppg average. He had a double-double and was the best player on the court the entire game (Yes, even better than Nigel Hayes tonight)
  • The Buckeyes ended the half with a 13 point lead 44-31

More from Scarlet and Game

Marc Loving seems to wake up a bit! The Buckeyes score runs up to 47-33.

Every player seems to be determined to win this game. Wisconsin attempts to apply pressure, but the Buckeyes came out unscathed and answered every time they were pressured.

After the officials reviewed the tape and change a Kam Williams’ 3 pointer to a 2 point shot, the Buckeyes still lead 54-41.

Trevor Thompson picks up his fourth foul, going to the bench with 11:13 left in the game.

The Buckeyes go on a 6-0 run and widen the lead to 62-47. Ohio State overcomes the 60 point barrier which Wisconsin never seems to let the Buckeyes reach.

Ja’Sean Tate and Charles Thomas both gain a double foul due to an elbow being thrown and some words being said. Tate picked up his fourth personal on the play.

The Buckeyes went out to their biggest lead of the game, up by 20 points with 4 minutes left.

Ohio State wins big 83-73, getting revenge for the earlier defeat at Wisconsin.

What a great game for the Buckeyes! A game where the entire team seemed energized and determined to win. It seemed like a completely different Ohio State team than the one that played Wisconsin earlier in the season.
