12 Ohio State players were NFL draft picks, but how will those players fit into their new teams?

Below is a breakdown of each Buckeye selected in the NFL Draft and how they fit into their new surroundings. Some of our beloved Buckeyes went earlier than expected and others went later, but what really matters is how they will be used and will they thrive in the big leagues.

Let’s take a look a look at each Buckeye in the order they were drafted.

Joey Bosa, DE- 3rd Pick in the 1st Round to San Diego: The Chargers are in rebuild mode on the defensive side of the ball and the biggest need was obviously the defensive line. Kendall Reyes has left and Corey Liuget is the only real threat left at the end position. Bosa projects best as a 4-3 defensive end, but he possesses the skills to be successful in a 3-4 as well.

This was an excellent selection, because Bosa can be a vital building block for San Diego moving forward and become an immediate contributor. Bosa has first pick talent as a versatile chess piece that can play end or tackle while providing a strong pass rush thanks to his impressive strength.
