Ohio State to wear alternate rivalry uniforms Saturday vs. Virginia Tech

This Saturday night on national television, the Ohio State Buckeyes will have their first huge test of the year as they welcome in the Virginia Tech Hokies for the highlight college football match up of the weekend in Week 2. And when they take the field inside the Horseshoe, they will indeed be donning the alternate rivalry jerseys that have almost become a staple for the team when the lights on them are the brightest.

The news was first reported by College Spun.

These uniforms, while taking a bit of getting used to for some, have been pretty well received, and it also helps that they’re only brought out on special occasions. Some schools take their alternate uniforms and beat them to death until you can’t take seeing them anymore.

But this game on Saturday night against the Hokies is an occasion where the uniforms definitely deserve to be broken out, as it is one of the biggest games of the year thus far.

What are your thoughts on the alternate uniforms? Good? Bad? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
