Ohio State, UConn agree to home-and-home basketball series, beginning in 2015

The Ohio State Buckeyes have agreed to a non-conference home-and-home series with one of the biggest contenders they could possibly find, the defending national champion UConn Huskies, according to a report from Cleveland.com.

The Ohio State basketball program has agreed to a home-and-home series with Connecticut set to begin in 2015-16, the program announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Buckeyes travel to Connecticut on Dec. 12, 2015, then the Huskies return to Columbus the following year to play the Buckeyes on Dec. 12.

Ohio State is 3-1 all-time against UConn, but the two schools haven’t met since 1992.

In recent years, there have been some that have been critical of the Buckeyes’ non-conference slate, but this agreement with one of the top programs in the country should calm some of those doubters.
