With two weeks to go until the Ohio State Buckeyes open the 2014 college football season against Navy, everyone is still wondering how healthy the shoulder of Braxton Miller is. Well in some good news, Miller did participate in the team’s scrimmage on Saturday, although he was limited in the action that he saw.
Head coach Urban Meyer spoke a bit about it on Saturday.
“Yeah, he scrimmaged today,” Meyer said. “Limited throws is where we’re at now. On Monday we hope to take a big step. He’s right on schedule is what they tell me. His attitude is great and he’ll be good to go (for the opener against Navy two weeks from today).”
This is all well and good to hear from Meyer, although a lot of peoples’ nerves will be calmed in two weeks once we get to see Miller on the field doing his work against the Midshipmen.
Now, as Meyer alluded to, we’ll have to wait for the reports out of practice on Monday to get a better idea where Miller is at with his progression. As the season draws closer here, he’ll be asked to do more and more on the practice field, right up until it’s time to take the field against Navy.
