Ohio State Football team, Urban Meyer take on ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (Video)

Over the course of the past few weeks, well-known figures from all walks of the sports and entertainment world have partaken in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for the disease.

For a refresher on just what ALS is, here is the description from the ALS website.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually lead to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed.

Well of course, as other teams are doing, the Ohio State Football players wanted to partake in the challenge, and head coach Urban Meyer joined them.

Watch in the video below.

Now that was pretty awesome, and it has been great to watch not only the Ohio State team take part in this, but everyone else who has as well.
