Ohio State Football recruiting: 3-star safety Carlton Davis commits to Buckeyes

The 2015 recruiting class for the Ohio State Buckeyes got a little bigger on Monday with the commitment of three-star safety Carlton Davis out of the state of Florida.

Davis becomes the 15th commitment for the Buckeyes in the 2015 recruiting class, a class in which people were panicking about when the summer started. However, coach Urban Meyer and company have done quite well since then, and things are surely only to get better from here on out, up until Signing Day in February.

This particular young man chose Ohio State over a slew of other offers including ones from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Arkansas, among a host of others. However, despite the commitment, Davis did state that he is keeping things open for now, so don’t get too excited.

Hopefully, though, this talented youngster will stick with his commitment to Columbus in the coming months ahead, and sign on the dotted line come that first Wednesday in February.

Only time will tell on that one.
