Former Ohio State star LaQuinton Ross headed to Italy

While there were a lot of people that were surprised that Aaron Craft went unselected in the NBA Draft this past June, there were some that were equally as surprised that sharpshooter LaQuinton Ross was not selected either. This summer, unlike Craft, Ross hasn’t been able to catch on with any teams in the league, so it appears that he will be headed off to Italy.

Ross was highly thought of when he was coming out of Ohio State following last season, however his workouts were less than impressive, to say the least. Then there were the reports that he had showed up rather overweight and he lacked the work ethic to be taken seriously by any teams in the NBA.

He was the lifeblood of the scoring for the Ohio State basketball team last season, averaging 15.2 points per game. Throughout the season, there were a lot of scouts that were throwing the praise his way, but he apparently lost all of that during his draft preparations.

Hopefully, Ross can get over to Italy and get himself back to form. The NBA dream isn’t dead just yet, but the ball is in his court now. Pun intended.
