The Ohio State Buckeyes have been lighting it up on the recruiting trail as of late, and it could soon be getting better. As everyone widely expected, the top running back in the country, Damien Harris, named the Buckeyes as one of his final five schools that he will be choosing from.
If you’ll remember, Harris was committed to Michigan, before the departure of Al Borges as offensive coordinator. With Borges out of the Michigan program, Harris re-opened his recruitment and the Buckeyes have been heavily in the mix ever since.
There’s no doubt that landing Harris would be a huge coup for the Ohio State program, and they’re getting some help from two other five-star recruits. Both Justin Hilliard and Jashon Cornell have stated that they will be hot on the trail of Harris as he gets set to pick a final destination.
When you have two great players like that helping out in the recruiting process, then you would have to think that your chances are pretty good.
But time will tell whether or not it will pay off in the end, but for now, the Buckeyes are still deep in the running for one of the best running backs in the 2015 class.
