While the Ohio State Buckeyes football recruiting has been quite in recent weeks, things will no doubt be heating up once again in the near future as National Signing Day approaches next February. And with that being said, the young man that is considered maybe the top recruit in the 2015 class, defensive end Josh Sweat, will be visiting Columbus.

This is tremendous news for the Buckeyes program, as they look to beef up the defensive side of the ball even more. The last big day in recruiting that Ohio State had a few weeks ago saw two five-star defensive monsters in Jashon Cornell and Justin Hilliard commit to Columbus. Adding another one in Sweat would be a huge coup for Urban Meyer and staff.
Sweat, out of Chesapeake, Virginia, is rated as a five-star prospect by 247 Sports and is the top rated overall prospect in the 2015 class.
Now the other schools on that list are going to be tough to beat out for his services, but as Meyer and staff have shown as of late, they’re ready to get there in the mix with anyone.
