Big Ten football betting odds 2014: Ohio State pegged as favorites

With college football season just right around the corner now, it’s time to start taking some stabs at some predictions as to who might be walking away with some hardware when the season is over.

The Big Ten this season isn’t exactly considered wide open, as there are a lot of people that believe Ohio State will easily run away with the title that eluded them last season.

Well, Las Vegas seems to agree with that sentiment as the Bovada odds for the conference for 2014 were recently released, and the Buckeyes are the favorites to come away with the Big Ten title when all is said and done.

Here’s a look at those odds, as well as the odds for each division.

Ohio State 10/11
Michigan State 15/4
Wisconsin 9/2
Nebraska 11/2
Michigan 9/1
Iowa 14/1
Northwestern 40/1
Minnesota 66/1
Indiana 100/1
Maryland 100/1
Illinois 200/1
Rutgers 200/1
Purdue 300/1

Big Ten East:
Ohio State 2/5
Michigan State 13/5
Michigan 5/1
Indiana 33/1
Maryland 50/1
Rutgers 100/1

Big Ten West:
Wisconsin 6/5
Nebraska 3/2
Iowa 5/1
Minnesota 12/1
Northwestern 18/1
Illinois 33/1
Purdue 100/1

There really are no surprises on this list as everything looks about the way that you would predict them to look. But once the season begins to play itself out in a few short weeks, you never know what can ultimately happen.
