While it’s truly sad to think about, this upcoming season in 2014 will be the last that we see of Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller in a Buckeyes uniform. After his senior season this year, he’ll be off to begin his journey in the NFL.
He could have left after last season, and some thought that he might, but he ultimately did decide on coming back for his final season in Columbus, and we’re all grateful for that.
But just because he came back to school doesn’t mean that the thought of the NFL is completely out of his head. In speaking to reporters at Big Ten Media Days, he revealed that it’s still a thought that’s crossed his mind, but he won’t it let be a distraction to his teammates.
“I made sure I thought about all of that stuff during the offseason,” Miller said when asked about his preparation for the NFL. “I need to focus on making sure I do the right things to get my teammates the ball, make sure we are in the right positions and calling the right play. I don’t want to be thinking ‘what’s going to happen if I did this or that…’”
For right now, and it was nice to hear it from his mouth, Miller’s sights are directly on helping lead this team to a national title.
