Ohio State Football: Michigan State contest named biggest of 2014 in Big Ten

While, of course, everyone always looks forward to the match up between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines, all eyes are on a game with the other Michigan school this year.

After what happened in the Big Ten Championship Game last season, everyone is looking directly at the November 8 match up between Ohio State and Michigan State.

And that includes media outlets from other schools around the conference.

The folks at Husker Extra recently took a look at the biggest Big Ten games in 2014, and right at the top of the list was the monumental rematch in early November.

1. Ohio State at Michigan State, Nov. 8: There are no assurances that this game will look as good then as it does now. Michigan State, for instance, has games against Oregon, Nebraska and Michigan before this one. There could be a blemish or two or three. Football is weird that way. No one was talking about the Spartans last year at this time, then they went and won 13 games. Everyone is talking about them now and … well, let’s just see how they perform wearing a bull’s-eye. But right now, seven weeks until the season begins, this game looks like a real beauty. Both teams are thinking about a championship drive, but after this night, only one of them will be holding the keys.

Very few can argue that this is not the best game of the year coming up in the Big Ten.
