Just as the football team, the Ohio State Basketball program has been one of the more consistent in the nation over the past few years, especially since Thad Matta has shown up to take over the reins. Sure, last year could have went a little better, but the past is the past, and 2014-15 is a new year.
The team this season, when November rolls around, will look a little different than they have in the past few years. Gone are players like Aaron Craft and LaQuinton Ross, signaling a new era for a core of players on the hardwood in Columbus.
With that being said, the jersey numbers were revealed recently for this year’s new members.
New #Buckeyes basketball numbers: D’Angelo Russell (0), Jae’Sean Tate (1), David Bell (10), Anthony Lee (31), Keita Bates-Diop (33).

Of course, not to take anything away from any of the other players, most eyes will be locked on D’Angelo Russell, the crown jewel of this recruiting class.
It was scary there for a bit, Russell not being cleared by the NCAA, but a few weeks ago everything was resolved and Russell was allowed to begin business as usual with his new team.
