Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer turned 50-years-old on Thursday. Yes, Urbz has hit the golden milestone.
Now despite Meyer being one of the most well-known head coaches in the history of college football, he’s still just a normal human being at the end of the day like you or I. When he hits the age of 50, people are going to start making all of the over-the-hill jokes they possibly can, and you just have to take it in stride.
But we can all take solace in one thing: When some of us do hit 50, it’s unlikely that we will be put on blast by AARP themselves, like Meyer was on Thursday.

Okay, you have to admit, that’s pretty funny, and we’re sure that Meyer found some humor in it as well. This is the instance where the fame actually works against Meyer because, again, we’re not going to be publicly made fun of by AARP when we reach a certain milestone age.
Gotta give it up to the folks at AARP, this was pretty well done and in good taste as well.
