On Saturday, we learned of the news that Ohio State redshirt freshman Tracy Sprinkle had been arrested on Friday night for an incident outside of a bar. Now, sadly in today’s world, this is nothing out of the ordinary to hear about a college athlete, but it’s still alarming.

Well, new reports are showing that the situation is more alarming than originally thought.

According to the Chronicle-Telegram, Sprinkle was arrested on a slew of drug-related charges, and that list is quite extensive.

Lorain police have confirmed that Ohio State University athlete and former Elyria High School football player Tracy Sprinkle was arrested July 4 on charges of possession of drugs, heroin, drug paraphernalia, rioting/failure to disperse.

Again, the news was alarming to begin with, when we just thought it was an incident outside of a bar. But this new report just takes things to a whole other level.

In our initial report here, we stated that there was a good chance that Sprinkle could be tossed by head coach Urban Meyer because of the incident. Now with the new developments, there is a very good chance that his days with the program could be over.

We’ll update more on the situation as it develops.
