Ohio State Football: Buckeyes named best defensive line unit by Big Ten Network

The Ohio State Buckeyes football team has some issues to address heading into the 2014 football season, however the defensive line unit is one of them. Led by monstrous defensive end Joey Bosa, this unit will look to build off a successful 2013 campaign that had them among the best in the country against the rush.

So of course, it should come as no surprise to anyone that the media around the country agrees with this sentiment, and recently the Big Ten Network named the Ohio State front the best in the conference.

Here’s what they had to say:

1. Ohio State. This may be the finest front in the USA. Ends Noah Spence and Joey Bosa are formidable, combining for 15.5 sacks. Bosa was a true freshman phenom in 2013. Michael Bennett is a monster tackle. Running mate Adolphus Washington is an efficient force vs. the run and can get a push. Depth is good with the likes of Tommy Schutt, Steve Miller, Jamal Marcus and Michael Hill.

Just even looking at the names in that list should let everyone know that this unit has the potential to run roughshod over the Big Ten this entire season, and hopefully be one of the leading factors in the Buckeyes securing a spot in the College Football Playoff.
