It was a big week for the Ohio State football recruiting team, however, apparently Thad Matta and the basketball program felt a little left out so they picked up a five-star recruit of their own in the form of five-star center Daniel Giddens, who committed to the Buckeyes on Friday.
There were some concerns about the low block in regards to this 2015 class but Giddens, out of Marietta, Georgia, has taken care of all that with this move on Friday. Giddens, at 6″10″ and 230 pounds, can be molded into hopefully as much of a force in the paint as Greg Oden was for the Buckeyes just a few years ago.
Ohio State has a good run with their 2014 recruiting class, and Matta definitely wants to keep that momentum up going forward. Landing this commitment from Giddens proves that he’s well on his way from not letting his foot off that recruiting gas pedal.
Via Cleveland.com, here’s a look at the updated roster for the Buckeyes going into this season.
