We’re learning of a pretty scary event over the weekend, but thankfully everything turned out well for Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Devin Smith.
Over the weekend, according to CantonRep.com, Smith was involved in a car accident over the weekend in which he flipped the vehicle and struck a utility pole.
An Ohio State University football player lost control behind the wheel Sunday morning, flipping his vehicle and striking a utility pole.
Devin M. Smith, 22, was driving southbound on Wales Avenue NW around 8:30 a.m. when he left the road and rolled his vehicle near the 7500 block, according to the traffic accident report from the police department.
He will be cited in the accident for failure to control.
As of now, it’s not suspected that Smith suffered any injuries in the accident, although as stated above, he will be in a bit of hot water with the law, but just enough that he can hopefully learn a lesson from all of this.
Everyone please take a minute and count your blessings and really appropriate the precious life you live!

Thankfully, though, Smith was okay and will not miss any time on the playing field this upcoming year because of the incident.
With 44 receptions last year for 660 yards and eight touchdowns, a lot will be expected from Smith this year on the offensive side of the ball as the Buckeyes chase the Big Ten Championship.
