We’re just a little over a month away from the start of the 2014 college football season, and we know that all Ohio State Buckeyes fans are ready to see if this season can finally bring a national championship. With QB Braxton Miller and a few others returning, there’s a very good chance that we can all see that.
One thing is definitely for sure, though, and that’s the fact that the students in Columbus are more than excited to see this season play out. How do we know that? Well, all you have to do is look to the fact that 30,000 student tickets have already been sold as of this week.
Assistant AD Brett Scarbrough explained just how great the demand has been, as well as how much the renovations to Ohio Stadium has helped as well.
“The student demand was strong and we reacted by not ending the sale at the set allotment,” Brett Scarbrough, assistant athletic director for ticketing and premium seating, said in a release. “The additional seating in Ohio Stadium allowed us the opportunity to sell more student packages and to also have some inventory available for the single game sale.”
Hats are definitely off to the Ohio State students. You should all give yourselves a huge hand.
