There are still some huge targets on the list for the Ohio State Buckeyes and their 2015 recruiting class, and two of the big ones are Jashon Cornell and Justin Hilliard. The two met each other at an Iowa camp a few years ago and have been friends ever since.
When you have a relationship like that develop, there’s a good chance that the two players will ultimately end up choosing to play at the same school together. With that being said, there’s a good chance that these two defensive studs could make their way to Columbus.
As a matter of fact, Cornell even recently admitted that the two might be a package deal, and wherever they do end up, they want to have a similar impact to that of the tandem of Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs.
“We have had the idea of having two great athletes – two elite players on defense – playing on the same team, and it’ll be like the Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs combo,” said Cornell, a senior at St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Derham Hall. “We have been thinking about that since my sophomore year.
“I think we’d have a big impact on a defense. If we’re playing on the same side, it would be a lock down – nobody would run to our side. There’s no offense that would be able to play against us because we think we’re beasts.”
Well, that certainly would be a sight to see, and would keep the train of Buckeyes’ defensive dominance rolling for years to come.
