We all had a good inclination on Thursday night that Aaron Craft may not get drafted by an NBA team, but as figured there was a slight chance he could. Teammate LaQuinton Ross, on the other hand, well we knew that he wasn’t going to hear his name called, especially amid the reports that not only were his workouts bad, but his weight gain had become a bit of a concern as well.
Still, with the attributes and potential that Ross possesses, he still has a chance to turn it all around a create a successful career for himself, and in an announcement on Friday, that journey will start with the Los Angeles Lakers in Las Vegas this summer.
LaQuinton Ross will play with the LA Lakers’ entry in the Las Vegas Summer League, per his agent. Games start July 11. #buckbk

This is crunch time for Ross to put up or shut up, more or less. If anything, it’s frustrating because anyone who has watched him on the court knows that he has what it takes to get the job done on the court, he just has to get his act together.
Hopefully, this stint with the Lakers will be that wake up call he needs.
