The Ohio State Buckeyes’ 2015 recruiting class is beginning to come together quite nicely as the summer moves along here, and it could soon receive a huge boost in the form of five-star linebacker Justin Hilliard, who recently named the Buckeyes as one of his finalists.
A commitment for Hilliard would would be the first from a five-star for this class, and would push the Buckeyes even further up the rankings of every recruiting service.
Recently, Hilliard talked about being recruited by the Buckeyes, especially his experience with coach Urban Meyer.
“Coach Meyer is very involved in my recruitment,” he said of the Ohio State head coach. “We talk almost every day. He’s very personal outside of football and all business when he’s involved in the game. It still makes me laugh that I have the ability to pick up the phone and call Coach Meyer, Coach Saban, Coach Ferentz, Coach Kelly, or Coach Hoke. My recruitment has come with plenty of benefits, it’s been an enormous blessing.”
He also explained just how hard making this decision between Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan and Iowa will be over the next few weeks.
“This decision is very hard,” Hilliard said. “Every school I’m looking at has opportunities for great education and great football. Ultimately, it will come down to where I am most comfortable, because it’s where I’ll be for three-to-four years.”
Hopefully, those next three to four years are in Columbus.
