While some were complaining that the 2015 Ohio State recruiting class was moving along rather slowly, that doesn’t see to be the case anymore as the Buckeyes got their seventh commitment of the class on Tuesday in the form of four-star Columbus linebacker Nick Conner.
Conner announced the news via his Instagram account, and he did so in a rather creative way.
He captioned the video with: “I just want to say that I have officially committed to play football at The Ohio State University”
Conner chose the Buckeyes over other offers from the likes of Boston College, West Virginia, Maryland, Ole Miss, Oregon, Virginia Tech and a host of other tremendous programs.
As a junior last season, Conner recorded 129 tackles with six sacks and three interceptions, showing off just how versatile this young man can be playing in the front seven.
The commitment came on the same that he attended camp at Ohio State, so it was nearly an instant marriage.
So for those that were panicking about the class, and believe me they were there, everything seems to be getting into full swing as of late.
As of time of posting, not long after Conner made his commitment, four-star defensive end Dre’Mont Jones made his commitment to Columbus, completing the defensive overhaul for this week.
