Despite the recent commitment of three-star quarterback Joe Burrow, the Ohio State Buckeyes are still heavily in pursuit of a few of the more higher rated signal callers in the 2015 class, and they could be making an offer to one of them soon.
Four-star prospect Travis Waller out of Anaheim, California recently indicated that the interest from the Buckeyes is getting larger, and he could be receiving an offer to head east very soon.
“That’s what they tell me, to come for a visit and that an offer could be coming soon,” Waller told cleveland.com in a phone interview Friday evening. “So I plan to visit Ohio State at the end of the month, and hopefully they’ll give me some good news when I’m there.”
When asked if he feels s bit slighted that he hasn’t been made an offer yet, Waller shot that down quickly.
“They told me an offer should be coming soon and that they’re happy they are in my top four,” Waller said. “I still talk to them a lot, and I understand there’s a quarterback commit there and I understand that if I do commit there that I have to compete against him. I’m not worried about that.”
The race to get another top-notch quarterback in the 2015 class is going to be heating up soon, especially considering the fact that five-star Torrance Gibson not only named the Tennessee Volunteers his leader, but he dropped the Buckeyes down his list, all the way to the bottom.
