Anyone who has ever been inside Ohio Stadium knows that it’s one of the best atmospheres in the game of college football. But, have you ever asked yourself whether or not it could get even better?
Well it will this season as, like a few other programs throughout the country, the Horseshoe is undergoing renovations that will make it one of the larger stadiums in the game.
This past week, head coach Urban Meyer provided an update on the renovations via his twitter account.

Officially, when the construction is complete, there will be over 2,600 seats added to the south end zone. This, of course, is in addition to the new field turf that was added as well as new locker rooms inside the facilities.
When all is said and done, the capacity of one of the best stadiums in college football will be pushed toward 105,000, getting it past Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium as the third-largest in the nation. Just Michigan and Penn State will be in front of them.
This is just another tremendous example of how the Ohio State football program continues to grow by leaps and bounds every year; but in this case, it’s literal.
