The recruiting war between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines has become as prevalent as ever in today’s day and age. With the Big Ten Conference evolving, it’s crucial that the Buckeyes and Wolverines are able to snag the best players possible.
So what does the recruiting landscape between the two look like as we roll on with the 2015 class?
Watch in the video below via Campus Insiders as Rivals’ Mike Farrell discusses some of the best prospects that the Buckeyes and Wolverines are fighting for at the moment, as well as where they could end up come Signing Day next February.
Again, with the emergence of Michigan State as the top power in the conference, as well as the hiring of James Franklin at Penn State who is absolutely cleaning up on the recruiting trail, bringing the best young men available to Columbus is more dire than ever.
Of course, as Farrell said in the video, Ohio State and Michigan are once again fighting off competition from the mighty SEC to land some of these blue-chip prospects, but that has been the case in recent years and will continue to be so in the near future.
There’s still a long way to go before now and February, but the time is right now for Urban Meyer to do whatever he and staff have to to get these players on board with becoming Buckeyes–before they decide to play their careers down south, or worse, in Ann Arbor, which we never want to see.
