A weak Big Ten has done the Ohio State Buckeyes no favors this season. Undefeated at 10-0, the Buckeyes have only faced two ranked teams all season. #16 Northwestern was the highest ranked of the two, and they were able to put quite the scare into Ohio State. This week, the Buckeyes host Indiana in the final home game of the season.
The Buckeyes will almost certainly roll through the Hoosiers before closing out the season at the Big House against Michigan next week. Bummed about a relatively uninteresting match-up this week, and the fact that the Buckeyes will likely be excluded from the BCS National Championship Game, ticket prices for this Saturday’s contest have declined 33% in the past week to an average of $128 dollars and a get-in price of $63.
While this week’s game checks in 39% below the average price for Ohio State football tickets at home this year, fans can finally look forward to some premium competition. With a victory over Indiana, Buckeye’s fans can safely purchase Big Ten Championship tickets, as Ohio State will have clinched the Big Ten Leaders Division. With a Big Ten Championship, Buckeye’s fans can start searching for Rose Bowl tickets and planning that trip to Pasadena. It may not be the National Championship, but after being excluded from the BCS last season, it will still be much welcomed by Ohio State and their fans.
