Jeff Heuerman has emerged as the featured tight end in Ohio State’s offense. Heuerman has been lined up in several different locations over the last few weeks, and the Buckeyes are finally getting some production from that spot. Heuerman now has 15 catches this season for 139 yards and one touchdown. Ohio State’s student paper, the Lantern, wrote this piece about Heuerman “blossoming” in year two of this Buckeye offense.
Heuerman has also become a media favorite and this week provided some quotes about West Layafette.
Heuerman called the city “Gray” and claimed that the visiting lockers were “awful.” Interesting timing for these quotes. I bet most Buckeyes are not happy with Purdue’s home city, given that the team has lost 2 straight there. The Buckeyes last road win against Purdue came in 2008.

With those Purdue quotes Jeff Heuerman has skyrocketed up the all-time best athlete power rankings.
