Former Buckeye and current Jets center Nick Mangold told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman that, despite being listed as questionable, he will play in today’s game against the Bengals. Mangold had been limited in practice this week nursing a rib injury.
Mangold’s been the definition of durable for the Jets since being drafted 29th overall in 2006, starting all but two games since. The 29-year old has been to four Pro Bowls and is a two-time First-Team All-Pro. Mangold was part of the great Buckeyes teams of the mid-2000s, most notably starting at center throughout the Buckeyes’ run to the National Championship game in his final season.
