Two former Buckeyes did not suit up today for their respective NFL teams today, one whose absence was severely missed.
New York Jets number-one wide receiver Santonio Holmes was sidelined for the second straight week with a hamstring injury. He is expected to miss two more weeks but he was sorely missed today as the Jets couldn’t muster a touchdown in a 19-6 loss to the previously-winless Pittsburgh Steelers.
Former Big Ten Defensive Player of The Year John Simon did not play for the Baltimore Ravens today in their loss to the Packers. Simon, the third-string outside linebacker has been used mostly on special teams and only has three tackles on the young season. The Ravens could of used some linebacker help as they let Packers running back Eddie Lacy run for over 100 yards today.
Hopefully the two former OSU studs can get back on the field soon and represent the Buckeyes in the NFL.
