Buckeyes Line Up To Hug Local Anchor Following His Daughter's Death

The Buckeyes Football team did a great thing Saturday night, a real team effort, you could say. They really pulled together as a team and did something amazing. You probably think I’m talking about the win against Wisconsin, right? Well, in a way I am, but then again I’m not.

Just a couple weeks ago, on September 17, Maria Tiberi, daughter of long time sports anchor for the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Dom Tiberi, was killed in a car crash. Saturday night, after the 31-24 win against Wisconsin, the Buckeyes lined up and gave hugs to Tiberi.

The Buckeyes also wore MT stickers on their helmets.

Dom Tiberi took a short time off to mourn his loss, but he made his emotional return to air last Thursday.

After the game, Tiberi took to Twitter and had this to say:

@DOMTIBERI: Just got home…. tired but proud of the @OhioStFootball for winning. Talked to so many caring people tonight… lots of hugs. Thank you!!
