Former Buckeye J.B. Shuck’s Big Night

J.B. Shuck arguably had the catch of the season this year leaping over the wall to rob a home run in early August. In yesterday’s Angels/A’s game, Shuck was at it again. Shuck had an outfield assist, two great catches, and doubled to leadoff the 11th inning. He later was driven in by a Josh Hamilton sacrifice fly to give the Angels the lead, and later, the victory. Shuck has an outside shot at the AL Rookie of the Year award and performances like last night will definitely strengthen his case. Shuck, and Mike Trout, have been the lone bright spots on an otherwise miserable season for the Angels.
