Following a 35 point drubbing of San Diego State, the Ohio State Buckeyes find themselves ranked #1 in the TiqIQ Top 25 for week 2.
With the average price of Ohio State football tickets rising 9% over the past week, the Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes squad has overtaken the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as the most expensive ticket in college football this year at an average price of $272 dollars.
Ohio State received quite a scare this past weekend when Heisman hopeful quarterback Braxton Miller sustained a knee injury and was forced to leave the game, but he appears to have avoided serious injury and is day-to-day for this Saturday’s game at California. With Big Ten conference play beginning in two weeks and the Buckeye’s with their eyes on a trip to the BCS Championship Game, they may choose to get Miller healthy over the next few weeks for their September 28th showdown with conference rival Wisconsin.
Other major risers in the TiqIQ Top 25 this week include LSU (+12%), Michigan State (+17%), and Auburn (14%). The largest faller within the top 25 was Georgia (-6%), moving down 3 spots to #10.
