There are three big names on the injury report this week for Ohio State: QB Braxton Miller, DE Adolphus Washington, and C Corey Linsley.
- Braxton Miller left after picking up a first down on a 4th and 1 in Ohio State’s first possession against San Diego State. Miller would have returned to action had the game not been out of hand by the time he was ready to return. In fact, coach Meyer said in his press conference today that he Miller wanted to come back in the game. Officially, Miller is day to day with a left MCL sprain. He is yet to be cleared for the Cal game, but if healthy will start. We expect him to be ready to go, with Guiton waiting in the wings if he is needed.
- Next is Corey Linsley. Linsley once again did not play the second half and was relieved by Jacoby Boren. Linsley is 100% healthy and the coaching staff is working on rebuilding his stamina now. He will play the Cal game and if the game is close expect him to play the whole game.
- Lastly, on the other side of the ball Adolphus Washington was absent for most of the game against the Aztecs. Ohio State backups played exceptionally behind Washington. Steve Miller and Joel Hale were among the notable backups who filled in for Washington. Michael Bennett and Noah Spence picked up the slack. Washington is also listed as day to day with a groin injury.
