2:38: Shazier is back on the field for the first play of the drive.
2:30: Shazier was riding the bike and has his helmet on, so it appears he’ll try and get back on the field as the Buckeyes look to defend a 37-20 lead.
2:11: Shazier remains out at the start of the second half, so we’ll continue to monitor his progress.
1:37: Backup linebacker Trey Johnson has entered the game as Ryan Shazier deals with cramps. The injury doesn’t appear all that serious, as the extreme heat could just be causing some serious dehydration, though Shazier could remain on the sidelines with the Buckeyes holding a 17-point lead. Shazier was taken into the locker room for further evaluation, so let’s hope that the initial scene with Shazier being carted off the field was not an accurate depiction of the severity of his injury.
The Buckeyes currently lead the Bulls 30-13 late in the second quarter.
