Raiders coach Dennis Allen told media members including Sports Illustrated’s Michael Wagaman that former Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor will start Oakland’s final preseason game against the Seahawks.
#Raiders coach Dennis Allen says Pryor to start preseason vs Seattle, Flynn to rest with arm soreness

While Allen notes that Pryor is getting the start because Matt Flynn is dealing with arm soreness, it will still be another chance for Pryor to impress the coaching staff. Pryor already put together a solid performance in last Friday’s preseason game against the Chicago Bears, and is seemingly working his way into the mix for the starting job.
I wrote yesterday that, after being denied the opportunity since 2011, Pryor finally got to reunite with his old Buckeyes jersey number, and that since the number seems to be cursed in Oakland, things could go one of two ways for him with the new jersey. Things have certainly seemed to go well thus far, and he’ll have one more shot to prove to Dennis Allen and company that he should be the Raiders’ starting quarterback when they take the field for their season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on September 8.
