NBA Draft Recap: Diebler to Portland, Lighty Unknown

The NBA Draft has come and gone.  Depending on who your favorite team is you either now have new hope, or potentially feel as though your front office may be better off being managed by a chimp.  Head to the comments and let us know who your favorite team is and who you think the winners and losers of the draft where.  For a full recap of last night’s events click here for the recap and click here for the live blog results from last night.

As for Buckeye fans we got to see the Jon Diebler realize his NBA dream as he is headed to the Pacific Northwest to potentially play alongside former teammate Greg Oden and look to establish himself as the sharp shooting bench threat that most Buckeye fans expect him to be.  His teammate David Lighty was not as fortunate.  The multi-talented leader of the Buckeyes from the last few years was not selected.  Most have projected Lighty as something of a Bruce Bowen type on the next level, to fulfill that promise he will have to take the same career route that Bowen did back in 1993.  That is the life of an undrafted free agent.  Currently there are no reports of what teams may be interested but if his twitter account (@OSULighty23)last night is any indication, Lighty is not feeling sorry for himself and is looking forward to the next challenge in his life.  As Buckeye fans it will be fun to watch two of our best work towards success on the next level.
